Complements of our Brazilian friend, Rafael :)
The first ingredient in a proper Brazilian night is the booze. And not just any booze mind you, but Cachaca!
Tonights featured Cachace is Sagatiba pura.
Basically Cachace is a mix between white rum and tequila. For more information on this, I request you refer to the modern age's Know-It-All: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cachaça
Behind the Brazilian party in a bottle, is a bucket of home grown lemons. Traditionally Cachace is drunk with limes... but what we had were home grown lemons.
Step one is take a shot of Cachaca.
Step two is make a pitcher of Cachace cut 50/50 with ice and a cup of sugar (per 750mL bottle of booze) plus lemons/limes to desired fruitiness.
Step three is pictured to the right: Pan fry up some Farmer Sausage with onions and chop up fresh tomatoes and onions to make a Brazilian bruschetta. Definitely go heavy on the olive oil!!
Step four is rip off a piece of fresh french bread and go to town! (Figuratively seeing as this is Brazilian night IN.)
The follow up to the Brazilian adventure was a cheese and bread plater, as featured below. Also an excellent bottle of wine, as it was a Friday night ;)
As you can also see below-- the clothes were coming off! (And that we also were apparently drinking beer.... ;P )
The sexy beast pictured above is known as Bruce. It is said that the party starts when his begins to stripe... This has actually been statistically proven to be true! |
Party on!
